Jobs corralled for people with a Disability, particularly people with mental health issues

Work Solutions Gippsland has invested in the purchase of a mobile car wash business which has been approved by the EPA and Gippsland Water, an important fact if you have an environment or sustainable living policy. All jobs at Bernie’s Brilliant Car Wash are quarantined for the employment of people with disability, particularly mental illness.

Employees now enjoy award wages and working conditions acceptable in today’s workforce. They are fully trained and supported to fulfil the requirements of the contract at the same time as learning more about the real world of work. Employees may also choose to complete additional qualifications in asset management which will enhance their opportunity to transition to other employment.

Our existing contracts provide work for teams of 3 or 4 employees with disability or a mental illness. It is our aim to have Bernie’s Brilliant Car Wash working full time with more teams taking responsibility for many contracts.

• How many people do you know, who turn up for work 2 hours early? This consistently happens at many of our sites.
• These employees are very keen to work. They are appropriately inducted with OHS compliant operating procedures and safe working systems.
• We are seeking support of businesses with a fleet of vehicles to help us build the skills of these dedicated employees.
• Vehicle cleaning is completed to a very high standard managed by an on site supervisor who has substantial knowledge about vehicle maintenance and cleaning.
